Inter Miami CF's Lionel Messi leads the 2026 MLS All-Star squad, selected through a combined vote of MLS fans, players, and media members. The team will face Mexico's Liga MX top stars in July. Messi, a three-time MLS All-Star, is one of three forwards on the squad along with Hugo Cuypers and Son Heung-Min. The midfielders are Sebastian Berhalter, Zavier Gozo, and Hany Mukhtar. Anthony Markanich, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, Tim Ream, and Andy Najar are the defenders, and Brian Schwake is the goaltender. To round out the 26-man roster for the All-Star Game, the remaining selections will include 13 players chosen by head coach Dean Smith of the host club, Charlotte, and two players picked by MLS Commissioner Don Garber. The 2026 MLS All-Star Game will take place on July 29 at Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium.
